Skilloop ("the app") is operated by BellTech Software, Harare, Zimbabwe ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and authentication credentials (managed via Firebase Authentication).
• Learning data: lessons completed, quiz answers, challenge submissions, streaks, and progress.
• Coach conversations: messages you send to the AI coach, used to provide and improve the coaching feature.
• Device data: push notification token, app version, and crash diagnostics (via Firebase Crashlytics).

How we use it

• To provide the app: progress tracking, personalization, AI coaching, and notifications.
• To keep the service reliable: crash reporting, abuse prevention, and usage analytics.
• To manage subscriptions and payments.

Third-party processors

• Google Firebase (authentication, push notifications, crash reporting).
• Google Gemini / OpenAI (AI coach and challenge grading — your prompts are sent to these providers to generate responses).
• Resend (transactional email such as sign-in links).
• Hetzner (server hosting, EU).

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not show third-party advertising.

Retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected]. Backups are rotated and deleted on a rolling schedule.

Children

Skilloop is intended for users aged 13 and older. An age gate is shown at sign-up.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
